In honour of Canada’s 150th and Holt Renfrew’s 180th birthdays, H Project returned home to celebrate the Canadian brands and designers inspiring sustainable fashion and social good.

H Project teamed up with Michif artist Christi Belcourt and Canadian handbag designer ela on an exclusive, limited edition clutch collection. $15 from the Editor’s clutch and $50 from the Mini Milck clutch will go towards the Onaman Collective.

BRAND & IRON

Using sustainably sourced, veg-tanned leather, Brand & Iron handcrafts their accessories in Vancouver, with a portion of all proceeds donated to the Baby Liver Foundation.

CASA

The creation of Lucie Bernier and Andre Pace from Montreal, CASA features the most natural and environmentally safe ingredients, from 100% pure organic-grade essential oils to using vegetable-based inks on packaging.

DOMPIERRE

Hand-painted with 22K gold lacquer and hand-thrown using recycled Canadian clay, Montreal ceramic artist Marie-Eve Dompierre ’s precious organic dishes have all the makings of a dream dinner party.

LOWELL

All natural and non-polluting, every Lowell bag is thoughtfully crafted in Montreal with ethically sourced full grain or veg-tanned leather and cotton.

BERG+BETTS

Using surplus scrap leather and watch parts made in a SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) certified factory, BERG+BETTS handcrafts fine, fair-trade watches in Victoria, British Columbia.

DOG & DAISY

Equally adorable and eco-friendly, this children’s line is a darling addition to the Dagg & Stacey collection. Exclusively designed in Toronto with sustainable materials.

From Vancouver, Hound & Co uses 100% natural and organic ingredients with a portion of profits going towards finding caring homes for rescued dogs.

SMYTHE x AUGDEN

Smythe’s sartorial sensibility is fused with Augden’s high-quality knitwear, hand knit in Bolivia using sustainable Alpaca wool in traditional patterns. Augden’s Franceska Earls has founded a cooperative of woman artisans from the region, fostering financial independence.
